Jets Autumn Aquathlon

A wet and windy day made for some testing conditions for the final round of Tri Scotlands Mazda Youth Aquathlon series held at the Prestonpans Swimming pool on Saturday.

Jets atheletes came away with 4 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze medals to secure the clubs position as top club in the series.

Scotland - 2nd in IRC

Scotland beat most of the other British regions on August 30th in the Inter Regional Championship at a very sunny Aldershot. The Scottish team under the guidance of national performance coach Chris Volley performed above expectaions to finish runner up to the South East region.

Jets atheletes Keri, Erin, Kate, Will & Jennie all performed well to add to the team point score.

Will almost won the 15/16 age group with a spirited race leading the final run section before the heat took its toll and he had to settle for 2nd place - a mighty effort.

Jets Set For IRC

Jets athletes continue to be a dominant force in Scottish triathlon as 5 of our members head to Aldershot on the 30th August to represents Scotland in the Inter Regional Championships.

Keri, Erin, Kate, Will & Jennie will compete against the best young triathletes in Britian and will hopefully bring back some medals.

They will all no doubt have a fantastic experience at this event on matter the outcome and come back with some stories to tell.

The rest of the Jets Club wish them the best of luck

JETS Stream To Glory

JETS atheletes had a successful day at the Mazda Scottish Youth Triathlon held at Bellahouston park in Glasgow on Saturday.

The girls had a clean sweep winning Gold in all age groups, the boys had less success but still grabbed a Gold in the 15/16 age group with a fine display from Will.

Winning atheletes from the weekend are now in line to be selected for the Inter Regional Championships to be held in Aldershot at the end of the month.

Team selection will hopefully be finalised by TriathlonScotland this week

2nd Half Of The Season Gets Underway This Weekend

With the holiday period over and all the JETS atheletes fully rested we are looking forward to a continuation of the great form shown in the early part of the season.

JETS athletes are stoming ahead in the Aquathlon league series as well as taking 5 out of the 10 available gold medals at the Scottish Schools Championship

The 2nd half of the season gets underway this weekend with the Scottish Triathlon Championship at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow.

Racing starts at 1 o’clock with registration from 11 until 12:15

Competitors will have a chance to recce the bike course from 11:45 - 12:15

Three weeks later sees 5 of the senior JETS atheletes competing in the British Youth Triathlon Championship race at Strathclyde park

For some of them this will be their 1st major event so wish them all luck and hope they have a good days racing

Stirling Aquathlon

Alana stormed to an impressive victory in the female 8-10 yo race at a chilly Stirling University for the 2nd round of the Mazda Youth Aquathlon Series, beating her closest rival by a minute and a half.

7 JETS make the trip up to Stirling bring back a good tally of points
